  • Dr.
    Arman Behboud
    DVM, CVA

    Dr. Arman Behboud graduated from the University of California Davis, where he majored in Genetics. He then traveled to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts to earn his DVM at Ross University (2015). Dr. Behboud enjoys the challenges of orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, as well as integrative medicine.  Dr. Behboud completed his certification in veterinary Acupuncture medicine through the Chi Institute in 2017, allowing him to integrate both Western and traditional Eastern medicine for the diagnosis and treatment of his patients.

    Maryam O' Hara
    DVM

    Dr. O’Hara attended UC Davis with a B.S in Animal Science and is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing veterinary school, she joined East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in Walnut Creek. She also attended East Bay Veterinary Emergency in Antioch.

    From there, she completed a postdoctoral specialized small animal internship and now has specialized training in the following fields:  internal medicine, surgery, oncology, neurology, ultrasound, and emergency medicine. 

  • Shira Rubin
    DVM

    Dr. Shira Rubin graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.  Since then she has practiced medicine in both California and New York.  Dr. Rubin’s special interests include feline medicine, exotics, dentistry, dermatology and pain management.  She has pursued continuing education and further training in the areas of dentistry and feline medicine.  She volunteers with local shelters and rescue groups and often has a foster kitten or two that she is raising.  Her companion is a one-eyed diabetic cat named Wizard that she rescued from the San Jose shelter.  In her free time, Dr. Rubin enjoys researching the history of veterinary medicine and spending time outside enjoying the beautiful Bay area.

    Office Manager

    Stephanie is a native of California, living in San Jose most of her life.  She joined Alpine Animal Hospital in June of 2017.  It was Stephanie’s passion for animals that prompted her to change her career after twenty years.  She loves helping Alpine's clients and their pets receive the best quality of care.  Stephanie has two grown sons, Christopher and Ricky.  She shares her home with her husband, Jose and her three cat’s, Shelby, Maurice, Prince (Stickers) and little dog, Jessie.  When Stephanie does have spare time, she likes to spend it with her pets, family, and friends.  She is also a life-long San Francisco Giants fan!
